THE LAST TIME!!!

I switched my question for the last time, im doing U.S. bases in Germany, then and now. Basically, im saying alot of the bases from Post WWII and Cold War were used for U.S. military. They did give alot of civilians jobs though, but since then nearly 150 have closed and been turned into something to benefit the civilians or local government.

Today...

today I met with Mr. Hamilton and found a government document I could read at the Oakland library. I also found a book that might be helpful but I'm not exactly sure yet. Over the weekend I am going to try to go to the north hills recruiting office for the army and see if he can direct me to someone I can interview.

FOCUS!

I am changing the focus of my project. The main question was US foreign military bases, are the necessary. This is a very broad subject that could go on forever. So I am switching to US Army bases in Europe, are they necessary. This isn't a drastic change seeing as a lot of my notes were about the US Army.

Ugh....

Well over the break I tried to keep in contact with the military and see if I can get information from them. I got stonewalled and got nothing from them, not even a reply. So I am going to take a different approach to get the information I need by trying to contact some of our government leaders. Right now I am feeling good about people I can interview because I have a Sargent and I want to get either a Cornell or a general as well.
